Who Is James Corden?
Actor, writer, producer, singer, comedian, and television host James Corden was born in Hillingdon, Greater London on August 22, 1978. He is currently the host of CBS talk show The Late, Late Show with James Corden. He has been hosting the show since 2015, taking Craig Ferguson´s place, who hosted the show for ten years.
Corden has been involved in a series of productions as actor, writer, and producer. Since 2010, he is the presenter of Sky 1’s comedy panel A League of Their Own.
Corden began his career as a stage actor on the 1996 musical Martin Guerre. It was a one-line performance at the age of 18. His early television appearances included a Tango advertisement, a role in the 1999 series Boyz Unlilmited, and a small part in the show Hollyoaks.
His rise to fame started in 2000. From that year through early 2005, Corden starred in the British television series Fat Friends, playing Jamie Rymer. This work earned him a nomination to the 2000 Royal Television Society award. He went on to star other British shows and even plays.
In 2007, Corden co-starred Gaving and Stacey, a series of his own creation which ran three seasons from 2007 through 2010. This show was co-written with his co-star from Fat Friends, Ruth Jones. During the time of the show, Corden played many other parts in shows and movies. Some of them successful and some of them not too much.
His latest work is The Wrong Mans, a comedy thriller for BBC Two that he created, co-stars, and writes along with fellow star from Gaving and Stacey, Matthew Baynton.
James Corden has been married to Julia Carey since September 15, 2012. The couple has two kids: Max, born in 2012 and Carey, born in 2014.
His recognitions include British Comedy Awards, Critics Choice, and Billboard Music Awards among others.
