Julianne Hough leaves Dancing with the Stars
Julianne Hough (pronounced “Huff”) is an American dancer, singer, and an actress. She has won the “Dancing with the Stars” (DWTS) championship twice. DWTS is an American Reality Dance Show aired in the USA and has been running since 2005 on Channel ABC.
Julianne Hough started as a company dancer before entering into the reality show DWTS. She and her partners, two-time Olympic skating champion, Apolo Anton Ohno and Indy race champion, Helio Castroneves, won the Emmy Award for the year 2008 and 2009.
Hough’s country music album “Will You Dance with Me”, released in May, 2007, raised money for the American Red Cross and the song topped the Billboard charts. In 2009, she won the country music award for top new female vocalist and the award for top new artist. She has released two fitness DVD’s and has created her own shoe line as well.
Hough, with her brother Derek Hough, owns a new dance production live tour which has sold out across North America.
Julianne first started acting in the movie “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. She has also acted in movies, such as ”Safe Haven”, “Footloose”, “Rock of Ages”, and “Paradise”. She was ranked no #30 on Maxim Magazine’s hot women of 2008.
Julianne stated in a recent interview for People Magazine that she will not be on the panel of judges for DWTS. She said she will miss being part of the panel and added that there are lot of surprises and exciting things coming up in the new season.
Julianne who has just finished starring in “Grease: Live” as Sandy, is leaving on good terms.
